United States Announces US$17 Million Grant for Colombo Port Digital Systems

On 16 October, the United States announced a US$17 million grant to modernise the Port of Colombo’s Maritime Single Window and Port Community System. The planned digital upgrade is intended to improve electronic documentation, data sharing and coordination among port authorities, customs and shipping operators; an implementing partner is to be selected through a competitive process.
