Ethiopia Attracts US$1.432 Billion in Foreign Direct Investment

The Ethiopian Investment Commission reported on 21–22 October that Ethiopia attracted US$1.432 billion in foreign direct investment during the first quarter of fiscal year 2026/27, up 49% year on year and 59% above the quarterly target. The result provides a major indicator of investment activity, although the total represents aggregate inflows rather than a single transaction.
