India Begins International Digi Yatra Trials at Seven Airports

From 1 November, India began international Digi Yatra passenger trials at Delhi, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Cochin, Mumbai, Chennai and Amritsar airports. The trials will run through November and December 2026 for eligible Indian e-passport holders travelling on selected Air India and IndiGo international flights; no programme cost was disclosed. The initiative creates opportunities in airport technology, passenger services and travel innovation. HPC can support tourism research, digital transformation and hospitality strategy.
